Article Correctness Is Author's Responsibility: Visualizing diffusive dynamics beyond tracking limit with standard optical microscope

(Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology) The collaborative team including a mechanical engineering scientist (Prof. Hanasaki) and physical chemists (Prof. Sugiyama and Prof. Yoshikawa) developed a new approach that can detect a sign of crystallization in solution before crystals are actually formed. These researchers found the collective motion of molecular clusters before crystallization. This research is expected to be useful for the pharmaceutical industry and material science, biology, and medicine where solid structure appears from fluids.
